Diane Miller

President & CEO, Wilcox Miller & Nelson

Ms. Miller is President of Wilcox Miller & Nelson, a midsized human capital consulting firm. During her tenure she has restructured the company to include workforce planning, succession management, and governance consulting. This has resulted in a five-fold value increase, as well as national recognition in the governance field. Additionally, the executive search and consulting company is now a member of two global consortiums (Career Partners International with 200 offices in 45 countries, and Cornerstone International with 100 offices throughout the world.) Ms. Miller’s accomplishments as President include a focus on organizational culture and strategy, succession planning, leadership development, talent management, and board governance. As one of few women to serve on a large financial institution board, she has honed her experience in risk management, mergers and acquisitions, board governance and corporate culture. Ms. Miller has driven such initiatives as corporate social responsibility and shareholder relations. Her governance work includes experience with some of the largest U.S. pension funds. In her prior work, she was involved in commercial real estate (REITS, asset management, and limited partnership strategy and management.) Ms. Miller speaks on such topics as jobs and the economy, and board and governance matters. Since 2007, she has served on the National Association of Corporate Director’s Board Advisory Services Faculty.

Ms. Miller has considerable professional for-profit and non-profit board experience including Umpqua Holdings and the California Chamber of Commerce, Sacramento, CA. She has also served on the National Association of Corporate Directors, Northern California Chapter since 2006.

Ms. Miller has received numerous honors including: “Businesswoman of the Year” Sacramento Metro Chamber and “Women Who Mean Business” The Business Journal. Speaking engagements include: PBS NewsHour, National Association of Corporate Directors Annual Conferences, and National Association of Corporate Directors “Director’s Professionalism”.

Ms. Miller received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of the Pacific and her MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University. She is a Board Leadership Fellow at the National Association of Corporate Directors. Ms. Miller has been married to Judge Brian R. Van Camp, now a private mediator in complex business transactions, for 21 years. They reside in California.
